Artificial grass in Wexford, Waterford and Wicklow
John has been fitting artificial grass for more than 20 years. Back gardens, dog runs, play areas, putting greens, pub beer gardens and family graves. Every lawn goes down on a dug-out, compacted stone base, because that's what copes with Irish rain.

What we fit
Gardens and lawns
A lawn that's gone to mud and moss can be swapped for artificial grass that stays green all year.
Dogs and kennels
A real lawn doesn't stand much chance against a dog, and most of it ends up on your kitchen floor.
Play areas and crèches
Artificial grass gives children somewhere to play outside even after a wet night, without the bare mud under the swings.
Graves
Keeping a family grave tidy is hard going when you can't get there often.
Putting greens
With a putting green out the back you can practise on a wet Tuesday in February, and there's no mowing or rolling to keep it right.
Bars and beer gardens
A beer garden in artificial grass looks the same in November as it does in June, and customers don't carry mud back into the bar.
Concrete, patios and decking
A grey concrete yard or a tired old patio can go green without anything being dug out.

Muddy garden to artificial lawn in one day
A small back lawn that had gone to mud, dug out and laid in artificial grass in a single day.
The difference is underneath. The old soil was dug out and taken away, and compacted stone went in its place, so the rain drains away instead of sitting on top. Drag the slider to compare.

We dig out and lay it
Old soil out, stone base in and compacted, membrane down, then the grass is laid, joined and pinned. Most gardens take a day or two.
You use it
No mowing and no mud. Give it a brush now and again, and clear the leaves in autumn.
We don't skimp on the groundwork
When an artificial lawn puddles, smells, goes lumpy or lifts at the edges, it's nearly always because the base was rushed. After more than 20 years at this, we dig out properly and put down enough stone for the ground we're working on.
You deal with John from the first WhatsApp to the last brush of the new lawn.

Questions people ask
What people usually want to know before they ring. There's more on the questions page and in the advice guides.
How much does artificial grass cost?
It depends on the job, so John prices each one and the quote is free. The main thing is the size of the area and what's there now (soil, an old lawn, concrete or decking), because that decides how much digging out and stone base is needed. Access matters too: if everything has to be barrowed through the house, it takes longer. Then there's the grass you pick. Send a few photos on WhatsApp and you'll have a rough idea quickly, with a free visit after that if you want one.
Do you give free quotes?
We do, and there's no obligation. Ring, send photos on WhatsApp, or fill in the quote form on this site.
Can I get free samples?
Yes. Ask for samples when you get in touch. Grass looks different out in your own garden than it does in a photo, so it's worth seeing and feeling it there before you decide.
Which areas do you cover?
We're based in Ferns, near Enniscorthy, and work all over Co. Wexford, plus Co. Waterford and Co. Wicklow. In Waterford that's mainly the city and the east of the county, and in Wicklow the south and middle. If you're further out in either county, ring and ask.
How long have you been fitting artificial grass?
More than 20 years now. In that time we've done back gardens and decks, play areas and crèches, kennels, bars and graves.
How long does it take to install artificial grass?
Most back gardens take a day or two. Small areas, graves and jobs on existing concrete are often done in a day. A big garden takes longer, and so does one where everything has to go through the house by barrow.
Will artificial grass drain properly in Irish rain?
Yes, if it's laid properly. The old soil is dug out and replaced with a stone base, compacted with a whacker plate, and the grass has a perforated backing so rain goes straight down through it. When you see an artificial lawn with puddles or a smell, it's nearly always down to a poor base.
