# Artificial grass for bars, beer gardens and businesses

> A beer garden in artificial grass looks the same in November as it does in June, and customers don't carry mud back into the bar. After a busy weekend, a brush and a hose and it's ready to go again.

- **Looks good all year**: It's green from the first sunny day in spring right through to the smokers out there in December.
- **No mud inside**: Customers walk in from the garden without bringing half of it with them.
- **Quick to clean**: Brush or blow off whatever's been dropped and hose down any spills.
- **Fits around furniture and planters**: We fit around benches, planters, heaters and paving, either on soil or straight over existing concrete.

## Pubs, hotels, cafés and offices

As well as pub beer gardens and smoking areas, we lay artificial grass for hotel lawns, café terraces and the green bits around offices. The [pub beer garden](/projects/pub-beer-garden-lawn/) project shows how the benches sit on it.

## On concrete or soil

If your beer garden is already concrete or paving, and it's sound with a fall to it, the grass can go straight on top. A job like that is often done in a day. Where it's soil or a tired old lawn, we dig it out and put in a compacted stone base, the same as we would in a back garden.

## Getting a quote

Send the size of the area and a few photos, and tell us how we get in. A back gate makes life easier than bringing everything through the bar. Let us know when the garden can be closed, and John will put a free quote together.

## Questions
### Can artificial grass be laid over a concrete beer garden?

Yes, and it's a quicker job because there's no digging out. The concrete needs a fall so water runs off it. Where it doesn't have one, we add drainage points, and a shock pad can go underneath where it's needed.

### Do you work outside opening hours?

Talk to John about timing. A lot of beer garden jobs can be planned for your quieter days, so you're not closing the garden on a busy one.
